Hello! Can I upgrade BIOS of my Gigabyte B450 aorus PRO with a not compatible cpu (ryzen 5 3600)? My mobo work anyway to permit the upgrade even the cpu are not supported yet?

Solution
No, it will not. You need a compatible CPU or a motherboard that has BIOS flashback, which yours does not. You can however probably take the board to a repair shop or someplace like Micro Center or Best Buy that has a service department, and get the BIOS updated for a small fee. If you are in a country that doesn't have similar shops, then a local repair shop might be able to do it for you.

The whole point of needing to update the BIOS is BECAUSE it will not work with a newer unsupported CPU, so you certainly can't update with one.

Yep, just found that out earlier, although, it may not be available to all persons based on what region you hail from. At least, not well enough to make it financially viable. For most places where AMD has a significant distribution presence, sure, but that's probably not everywhere.

For most places in the US, Canada, UK and majority of EU regions, probably doable. For other places, it could be spotty.
