Question Bios Version/update question

Hello. I was trying to find my bios version and when I typed systeminfo.exe in command prompt the version date says 7/7/2020. However when I check the manufacturer's website there is no bios version with that date. There's a 2018 release date and a large gap where the next release date is 2022. which leaves me wondering if that's the date I installed the bios version and not the actual release date of the bios version? For reference I have a MSI x370 Gaming Pro Carbon. Could anyone clarify if the date shown in system info is the date I installed the bios version and not the date the bios version was officially released by the manufacturer ?

What BIOS version is displayed on screen during the boot process?

Should be a version....not just a date.

Date alone doesn't mean much as it's not a date when it was released and that could be months after it was coded. What you need to know is BIOS version
