Hi all,

I recently wanted to update my BIOS because it was 5-6 years old (Yeah I know:ouch:) and got searching on HP's website. I should also mention what my specs are:

  • HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Small-Form-Factor PC
    Windows 10 PRO (x64) Version 1803, Build 17713
    i5-4570
    BIOS: v02.75 (after flash)
    8GB DDR3 (2x4GB)

I used HP's own flash tool downloaded from their website.
After a successful flash, the system rebooted and I pressed F10 to enter the BIOS.
I turned on automatic updates, and selected the "Check Daily" setting.
After the system rebooted, I was prompted with this image:

As you can (hopefully) see, the BIOS wants to downgrade itself!:??: Could it be possible that I just flashed a non-official BIOS update? Or is it simply an error, cause I don't see any other errors with this current BIOS. (v02.75)

UPDATE:
It's entirely possible a problem was found in the latest BIOS so a rollback is being pushed to prevent problems from arsing.

Could be plausible, because when I turn on the PC, POST messages are fine, no errors, however right after that my monitor detects no input, and after 2~3 seconds the monitor picks up again, briefly allowing me to see the message "Attempting to boot from hard drive" then Windows finally loads
