BIOS will not boot

I just swapped out my old board for a Asus Crosshair V Formula. Everything worked fine before.
When i turn on the power from the UPS, the Asus logo appears breiefly on the monitor and the small screen on the G19 keyboard lights up.
When i switch on the power on the PSU and then turn on the rig, the mobo lights up, the system check on the right does it thing, it beeps once and then nothing. No BIOS screen.
I swapped VGA cards, RAM, made sure all the connections were good, reset the CMOS and still nothing.
Any advise would be appreciated. Amazon said they would overnight a new board but if it's not a faulty board, i would like to get it going.
Specs:
AMD X6 1100 T CPU,
Corsair Vengeance 1600 DDR3 (4x4)
OCZ ZX 1250 w PSU
EVGA GTX 580 3 G
Asus VG236H Monitor w/ Nvidia 3D

sounds like a mobo problem... does the computer at least boot or is it completely dead?

it boots, it does everything it should do including one short beep, then no BIOS appears on the monitor.

you will need to update the chipset have you done that yet?

how do i update a chipset if nothing appears on the screen ? i even put the DVD the board came with into the optical drive and still nothing.
i have an AMD Phenom II X6 1100T

so then your computer starts but there is no display... also have you checked your cpu maby checking if a pin was bent?

pins are perfect and installed correctly, ( triangle to triangle)

This wsill save us having to ask what may appear as "dumb" questions, Such as, You did plug in the 4/8 Pin Power connector on the MB - LOL, That has been the case a few times.

haha yeah easy but embarrassing fix

Believe it or not...it was a faulty mobo. I called Amazon and they overnight Fed-Ex'd me a new board with a shipping label to return the old one, no problemo, (I LOVE that company. ) installed the new board and I'm all good. What an awesome board ! I now have 2 x 3 Gb-GTX 580's !
