Bioshock.exe has stopped working

I recently tried to open Bioshock with Steam and it says just after the logo screen "Bioshock.exe has stopped working".

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Did it work before? If so, maybe you should try and download it again and see what happens. Maybe something got corrupted?

Right click your soundicon in your taskbar. Go to output devices ( microphone etc... ), click the button so it shows you hidden devices, turn on stereo mixer.
