Alright, I own an Intel Pentium G3258 Anniversary Edition @ 3.2 GHz. A friend actually offered me this motherboad(Biostar h81mhv3 brand new) for a really cheap price. I was wondering if I could use this mobo to do some minor overclocking with my Pentium and save myself from spending $100+ on a Z97 or any other high end overclocking boards.

P.S. I will be using the stock intel cooler which im planning to upgrade later this year.

Is there any other way around that? i've heard that there is a special relationship between H81's and G3258.

It does overclock, to 4.5ghz as a matter of fact. I have that very cpu/mobo. Just DO NOT update the bios that actually disables overclocking. Bios should be H81SR123.BSS which is the initial bios. You will need to re-flash it if you have the newer bios. Someone suggested - Multiplier is set to 44, while the vCore is set to 1.250v. Be sure to really research this before you overclock.
