I am planning to go for an Athlon II x4 640 and crossfire with a HD 6000 series. Please tell me which of these motherboards would be better for overclocking purpose:

Asrock M3A785GXH-128M or Biostar TA790GXE-128M

Please suggest me one of these two.

I stay in india. I am buying from lynx-india.com.

One more question. You told me to go for the Asrock model but don't you thing that quality and performance wise, Biostar would be better than Asrock.

yeah I am on a budget. Actually I already have 3gigs of DDR2 800Mhz ram with me from my existing computer.

I have to buy a processor (AMD), Powersupply (seasonic), gaming Tower, Graphics Card (ATI HD 6000).

So if I go with asrock, Ill have to purchase DDR3 ram 5 to 6 gigs.

So having DDR2 or DDR3 matter anything?

If you were planning to re-use the RAM from your old build, the BIOSTAR is the better option. There is a little difference between the two, to justify the cost increase on a budget.

Also, you would need no more than 4GB (2x2GB) of RAM if you decided to go with DDR3. 5GB or 6 GB isn't required.

thanks for the reply.

Two last questions:

Having DDR2 instead of DDR3 matter anything?

I am also looking for a CPU, so should I go with Athlon II x4 435 (overclock it to 3.4 GHZ) or should I choose Phenom II x2 555 BE (unlock it to a quad and then overclock) instead ?
