Hey all,

Having a pretty weird issue with very little information to spare, but if theres any place this can be fixed, its here.

I downloaded the .exe file for my USB 2.0 controller from Biostar for the TA880GU3+, for some reason it gets ready to begin extraction of the drivers before giving me the very informative error message "The driver could not be installed!". No error number, no details, nothing.

It is a fairly new rig (2 weeks old) and just got around to installing stuff from my external, only to not recognize it. Recognizes my iPod though, which is kind of odd. Could it be the external? Are there some admin options i need to look up and enable? Do i need to look at getting some driver management software to fix the error for me? Many thanks TH community in advance, hoping to get this resolved!

I also use that board. Go into the device manager in the control panel. Check for any conflicts which will be listed with a mark next to the device. You can either uninstall the device and reboot, or let windows search for a driver update while online. I would also recommend service pack one for windows 7, which fixed some of my issues.
