I have a question about the Biostar TA970: Can it support single 16gb server memory stick such as this one:http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory/ct16g3ersdd4186d ?
I have read the manual that came with the motherboard and it does support up to 64gb's of ram, but only has 4 mempry slots, and it can hold a max of 16gb's per slot, and i made sure that the frequency was compatible with the motherboard and my cpu (AMD FX-8350).I tried looking around online and could not find anything else on the compatibility of this type of ram in this motherboard. I just want to make sure before i purchase the wrong set of ram to upgrade my current system. Does ECC compatibility matter? and does this motherboard support ECC? If not, can it still use the ram without utilizing ECC or will it not work at all?
