Bitcoin Mining Rig

Bitcoin mining rigs have to use as little power as possible to making mining reasonable. AMD graphics cards have been the choice of many until Nvidia came out with the 750i. Look for low end AMD cards or the 750i. You can look at Amazon.

Ok. Does the cpu affect the performance since it is mainly the gpu doing the work. If it doesn't I'm just going to use a very low end cpu.

Mining with gpus hasn't been profitable in years. A $30 usb asic miner is x2 better than even a $400 r9 390x. A $100 750ti is hardly 150mh/s and a $30 usb miner is 3.6gh/s. Also power that's 75w for the 750ti vs ~4w for that usb. But this is hardly anything vs companies with rooms full of dedicated hardware. This makes like $0.25 per month so you will not even regain the cost of the $30 stick before the difficulty goes so high it's worthless like gpus.

That guide is two years old. For graphics cards, that is heavily outdated news. Throw mining into the mix, and that source is completely irrelevant now.
No matter how cheap you can get power, cards are no longer profitable. Period.
Hell, mowing lawns is exponentially more profitable.
