It allows BitPim and your phone to be on different machines. Initially
this will of great help for the BitPim developers as they will be able
to see other people's phones and update the code quickly.

End users may also find it interesting and useful

BTW 0.7-test9 is not available yet. The test releases are done
every two weeks.
