I think i've made a mistake on my bitlocker encrypted boot drive.

Yesterday I flashed my bios.

Now when i try to boot, iam supposed to enter the password for bitlocker (not the recovery key!), but when i
type it, it says the password is wrong. Even though iam 100% using the correct password (i've displayed the password).

Is it possible, that this is a TPM issue?

Did i maybe wipe something through the bios flash, so that the original password won't work anymore?

Even if this is the case, i don't understand why bitlocker says the password is wrong, when it isn't. The only case where
it should say that is well..... when the password is wrong.

Is there any chance of recovery without the recovery key?

This is common at least on windows 11 it let me log back in with my windows account password to unbrick mine.

When you encrypted the drive you were given the opportunity to both manually record the recovery key AND create a recovery USB stick. Why did you not do this?

Did you suspend BitLocker prior to updating the BIOS as required? If you did not do this it will trigger recovery mode which requires the recovery key. No recovery key no entry. BitLocker is doing its job.

No, i didn't suspend Bitlocker prior updating BIOS.

What is weird is, that iam not in recovery mode i guess. Iam not asked the recovery key. Bitlocker asks me to type in my regular password.

Even though iam typing correctly (iam seeing what i type), it says the password is wrong. Even though its not.

And iam not 100% sure, but i think ive disabled TPM on group policies during setup of Bitlocker. But maybe i didnt...

That isnt working for me.

Unless you have either a valid preboot PIN or the recovery key you will not be able to access that volume at all. Because you broke the trust on this machine by updating BIOS without first suspending BitLocker, as required, the system is now in a secure state. Your only solution is a full wipe/reinstall. BitLocker is doing exactly as it was designed to do and there are no workarounds (wouldn't be very secure if there were).
