It's a step forward. Not a very important one, but a step forward.

Well, most drives (HDD's and SSD's) do have a tendency to spend majority of the time idling if I'm not mistaken.
From that front, its not a bad thing, however I share the sentiment that its a minor step forward.

ins't "running idle" the same as Standing Still/NOT In use?
I would rather read about how much more battery life while in use.
