bizzare crashes when i put 16gb ram in

so i put two ddr3 corsair 1600mhz sticks of 8gb in
and i get random crashes fequently
page error, memory management, not to mention firefox continiously crashes

however when i take one of the sticks out, and keep it in with my pre-existing old ram sticks that i used to have, which is a 4gb ddr3 1600mhz

it runs fine, no crashes or hangs at all

my motherboard is an h81mplus
and i have a good brand 500 watt power supply

what on earth is going on

please can anyone respond thamks

in other words, 8gb and 4 gb
arent crashing

but 8gb and 8gb are crashing

im very confused

again, the model and clock speeds are the same

What happens when you *only* use the 2x8GB kit? (ie not including the 4GB module)

Some RAM simply doesn't 'play nice' with others (which is why mixing/matching, even the exact same modules sold individually - is not recommended)
