I'm hoping someone in THF land would be kind enough to indicate why the H#LL my shiny new Duron 750 on an MSI KT7 pro2a multiplies BACKWARDS when I try to OC it. I have pencilled in the L1's using HB lead and ensuring none of the marks touch eachother, yet my system still freezes on even multiples and in the opposite direction on odds. For instance, 800 locks, as does 900, but 950 brings it to 550mhz! I have tried 133mhz fsb, 100mhz fsb, plenty of cooling, nada. Tried cas2 and cas3, wtf? Someone please give me a hand here...

Specs:

Amd Duron 750mhz
MSI KT7 PRO2a
Guillemont 3D Prophet 32mb
256mb 133mhz PNY (hmm...)
30GB ATA100 Maxtor 7200rpm
Teac CDRW 8x8x32
ZIP 100 atapi/ide
Windows ME (it was free...)

Thanks!

Reason. You have failed to connect all the L1:s correctly.
Quit that no cost "band aiding the space shuttle" method.
I gave up after redoing it two times and when my Duron 800 refused at 7X140 after a week when the pencil crap failed the third time . Buy a defogger repair kit for about 10$ at any car part shop. It contains conductive paint and it works.! Promise

I have seen a "silver pen" used to repair cicuit boards. Several years ago, though. I have not looked for one for sale, but I plan on buying a new t-bird soon and was planning to use one to unlock it (if I could find one). But, the "window defogger kit" idea is a good one, and I bet I can find some in my Dad's garage!

Conductive pen is the best and most reliable. Used alot to repair minor mobo damages. In Toms article he shows where you can order one online. Forget where though, better go look...

Here is the real mccoy with a very good description of the pen and what it will do. GO HERE!About 14 bucks.
