Black and white lines/dead gpu?

So i was playing Far Cry: Primal and suddenly black and white vertical lines appeared on my screen. I couldn't do anyhing so after some time a <removed> down the Pc forcefully and tried to restart it but I was getting no image. I reckon the GPU has gone to <removed> even tho it still appears to be functioning normally (the fans are spinning and there is no damage to it). Any thoughts on it? Thanks in advance.

I would say it sounds more like a dead monitor than a dead GPU. If you connect another monitor to your screen can you recreate the problem?

I connected it to my tv and still got no image, just a black screen

What motherboard do you have? Does it have onboard video? If it does then take the GPU out and try running it on the onboard.

I have the ASRock H61M-DGS R2.0 and i honestly have no idea if it has onboard video...

Then it is most definitely a bad GPU.
