Black background white font

Solution
not sure about w8 but w7 has automatic color changing. meaning if you select a solid black background your text will be white.

there is a program called iconoid which can control this but it doesnt list win8 support yet.

or are you referring to the text bounding boxes? eg the box which goes around text icons which is the same color as the background color (whether you use an image or not) such as in windows xp?

Sorry for late reply.

To enable high contrast you can select one from the available preset themes for the OS in the "Personalize" right click option menu after clicking on the desktop. Alternatively you can use the keyboard shortcut "Alt + Shift + Prnt Scrn".

You could also invert the colors by enabling the magnifying glass with "Windows key + '+' " then "Ctrl + Alt + i".
