Hello,
I have a Samsung SyncMaster BX2450 and I have x64 windows 7. There is a 3 inch black bar on both sides of my screen. I adjust different resolution but to no avail. I am using a standard on board GPU from the mobo with a HDMI plug. When I check devices mgr. the driver is "BX2450/BX2450H (digital) version 4/8/2010" and located on "standard VGA graphics adaper. I believe the driver is the latest version. Please Help!

Thanks,
Vinh

It is almost certainly the on board GPU driver that needs updating, not the monitor driver. Can you right-click it in device manager and have windows search for updated drivers for the "standard VGA graphics adapter"? Can you tell me the make and model of your PC and I can look up your driver for you. Also, your resolution should be set at 1920 x 1080

To help dekertek can you do the next so he has an idea of what hardware you use,

download hwinfo32,
install and open it=click run,
close the top window which is the system summary,
in the main window at the left top click "save report",
at the bottom of the next window check "short text report",
after that you'll see what's in the pc,
copy by clicking "copy to clipboard" and rightclick+paste in your next respons

Also if you use the "reply to" button in a previous post can you add some comments there, just start under the quote ([quotemsg).Or just use the "Post an Answer" button at the bottom of the thread.

So I download both VGA drivers. I installed the ATI, but when I tried to install the Nvidia message box said it is imcompatible. When I tried to update display driver from device manager, I couldn't pull up the ATI folder.
