black bar top monitor

I have a asus vs228 and for the past few days there has been a black bar across the top of my screen I tried to remove the black bar by changing the settings in nvidia, reinstalling the nvidia driver and resetting the monitor to factory settings but the annoying black bar remains.

does that monitor have an "auto" button? does it display everything like normal even with that black bar like your desktop & browser?
