I just installed a new graphics card Zotac gtx 1060 6gb and it only had a DVI slot so I used the hdmi one instead when I had originally been using VGA on my old card. After installing my drivers the screen has black bars on top and bottom and it looks blurry, and grainy. I have tried messing with resolution in the geforce control panel but nothing has worked.

Solution
1. Try a different cable or cable type.

2. Try new monitor.

3. If all else fails, in NVidia Control Panel click "Adjust desktop size and position." Then under "Apply the following settings:," click "Size." Check "Enable desktop resizing." If you can, click "Underscan" under "Select the desktop resize mode reported to the display." Click "Resize," and adjust to your liking.
