Black borders W8.1 AMD

Hello,

I would like to ask you, if W.8.1 is compatible with AMD GPUs??

I have R9 280x with w8.1 x64 and I have the problem of the black borders. Searching on internet, I have seen that many solutions are: Go to CCC and change the scaling option. But I don't have this option in AMD CCC. I used the autodetection program of AMD for the GPU drivers.

Any solution? Install a new version of CCC? install an extra feature? change to W7?

You will need to change the Catalyst control center to advanced settings to get the option to come up. It will be under the "My digital flat panels" tab.

It is under the digital flat panel settings.
You just gotta pull the scaling slider all the way right.

GPU Scaling is needed in the CCC. Flat display or LCD panel option. Over extend it.

I have to do it every time I refresh my OS

My problem is that in my CCC version, there is no scaling option (In my other computer there is, i know it). If I may attach a screenshot I will show you.

My CCC was installed by the autodetection driver software of AMD.

What cable do you use?

Install the latest driver over the top of your current driver. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64 If that don't work, uninstall your current driver and install the driver I just linked.
