Black borders when changing resolution

when i try to change my resolution in-game to 900p i get these black borders all around my screen i even tried changing the scaling option in catalyst control center but still no answer. But the only game that does not have this problem is shadow or mordor if anybody has a soltution that would be great. My GPU is a sapphire 7850 2GB monitor is a DELL S2440L native resolution is 1080p and connected by HDMI

Try changing the Overscan setting in CCC, if not then it's your monitors fault, or not it's fault, it's just not stretching the images fit the whole screen. It's displaying the actual resolution, and not upscaling it. 1600x900 is smaller than 1920x1080, so yeah, it's displaying the lower pixel amount.

Tried the overscan no change but how is this a monitor issue? I don't have this problem in shadow of mordor but in all of my other games i do
