Whilst I was playing Battlefield 1 my pc crashed and I could smell burning.
I inspected the mobo and can see a small burnt mark.
Now when I turn on the pc, the fans start but there is no display on the monitor.
I dont get any beeps when it turns on but dont think I ever have?
I bought a new graphics card at xmas - EVGA gtx1060 Sc 3gb
I use the K boost setting to maximise clock settings but don't do any manual OCing.

Do you think its just the mobo has gone? hopefully not the CPU too?
Or the PSU?

Thanks
Martin

If you smell it and can see it, chance are pretty good it's burnt. Burnt components usually equal death. However, it's worth it to remove everything from the case for a closer inspection looking for other burn marks, pieces of components, etc. May find more evidence, may even be able to reassemble and turn it back on. Likely the motherboard and hopefully nothing else.

I can't see any other burns or pieces of components.
Could it be a faulty Dvi cable?
