I have been noticing a few black dots on my LG 24M38H-B Led Monitor for the last few days. I have tried applying pressure to make them disappear. I have also tried a pencil eraser on them but to no vail. Please refer links for images. Two of these images are taken in super macro mode and in these images, I can see glowing pixels. So I don't think this could be a dead pixels issue if I'm not wrong. A few days back I copied some images from the monitor by putting paper on the monitor and overwriting it with a pencil. I didn't notice any damages at that time also there is no roughness on the monitor at these points. So my question is what are these?? Are these some dust particles? If yes then how to remove them?? If anyone has encountered this please suggest. I just want to confirm before disassembling it to clean.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You might want to try doing the same thing on a soft cushion, you'll notice how the pencil pierces through the paper and goes into the soft cushion. If you need to trace something desperately, use a light table.

Looks like dead pixels, to me. Are you under warranty with the panel?

Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, the warranty period has expired. Guess I should have been a little more careful with the tracing thing and used a light table instead. But referring to the image here

it doesn't appear to be a dead pixel as I can see the pixels glowing in this image taken with the super macro camera. If it was a dead pixel then I think it shouldn't have been glowing like this if I am not wrong. This panel was left unused for about a month. These black dots appeared after this period. So there is a high chance that these are just dust particles.
