Hi, I have question. I am playing Assassins creed 4 black flag and I am a little confused about graphics settings. When I go to settings I see: FXAA, SMAA, MSAA/ MSAA 2x/ MSAA 4x/ MSAA 8x, CSAA 4x(8x), CSAA 4x(16x), CSAA 8x (8x), CSAA 8x (16x) and the last TXAA 2x and TXAA 4x
My specs:
Windows 7 home 64bit
Geforce gtx 760
Intel i7 4771 3.5 GHz
MSI B85-G43 GAMING - motherboard
2 tb hdd

I have read about it, but can you tell my what is the best for me? What do you recommend. Thanks

I use CSAA 8x(8x) and am very pleased with it. Other options would be FXAA (slightly blurry but very fast), MSAA (good quality by high performance cost) or TXAA(Haven't tried but it allegedly works well for AC4). Be careful not set MSAA too high. AA in general comes with a high performance hit.

I have tried TXAA 4x and works well but too much blurry for me. I also tried FXAA and it was much faster a little bit blurry but not like TXAA and I have to recognize not a big different. Ofcourse TXAA has better quality but with FXAA the game is much faster so I will try CSAA 8x(8x). Thank you

As for AA, SMAA is prettier than FXAA, while TXAA seems faster in some respects, but can be blurred. I've been using SMAA and it looks great. CSAA and MSAA on this game are kind of brutal. It may be the optimization.

:somewhat slightly off topic:
I was tearing my hair out last night. I just upgraded from a single 760 to SLI and thought for sure AC4 would be flying. Well, long story short, after many many configuration changes and madness, I finally turned off ShadowPlay on a whim and BANG. 25+ FPS instantly restored. I don't know if you are using it, but it does not seem to play well with AC4 or maybe just SLI, but it's something to try and maybe it will help someone else.
