Black flickering when playing FFXV in 2160p

Whenever I play FFXV in 3840x2160 my monitor starts flickering and then goes completely black and I can still hear the game when it goes black. It only happens when I'm playing the game, not when trying to launch it. I can turn my monitor off and turn it back on and the picture comes back but then it'll just flicker and go black again after a little bit of gameplay.

This is my setup:

Intel 8700K@3.70GHz
EVGA 1080ti
4X8GB G.Skill Rijaws V Series 3200
ASRock Z370 Killer
WD Black 2TB
PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 750W
Monitor: SAMSUNG U28E590D 4K UHD
OS: Windows 10

Solution
Your welcome, hope the devs give a fix.

Might want to try that fullscreen optimisation setting again on or off, might improve brightness.

Sorry, I'm not thinking straight, I found the compatibility tab. It says "Disable fullscreen optimization". I'd check that box, right?

My monitor still flickered when I played it.

It doesn't flicker when I lower it to 1440p but that's not what I want and I haven't tried other games in 2160p yet. This monitor is 60Hz and I'm using HDMI cable that came with the monitor.

I ran it and it seems fine. I can give you the results if you want?

Just played Far Cry 5 on max settings in 2160 and it worked fine.

Thanks for your help boju. I found that running it in borderless mode gets rid of the flickering altogether. It makes the game look a little different, brightness wise, but that's something I can deal with. And who knows, this seems very common among other players so maybe it's a fix that Square will have to look into.

Will do. Thanks again!
