Black Friday/Cyber Monday Drops

Hello. My budget is 1800 usd. I've made the following build:

No, I don't want ddr4 when it comes out soon before BF/CM because the mobo and cpu that will support it at the time (haswell e and x99) are gonna be too expensive. Can anyone tell me if they think that this will drop to 1800 by BF or CM? Thanks.

I can see it dropping to $1800 during a sale like that, though really, I could alter that build to bring it down to that now without compromising gaming performance at all.

Does it involve swapping to an i5, putting in a corsair psu, messing greatly with the black and red scheme, or compromising the quality of the monitor? If so, no thanks. If not, take a swing

Downgrading the CPU and changing the mobo is what I would have done.

For gaming you dont need an i7, and given the 8GB of RAM your not intending on video editing or something that would require an i7.
The mobo is pretty overkill, a $130 board would do the same job just as well. If your plan is to overclock that chip hard, then your mid-range cooler is going to limit that pretty hard.

I do intend to video edit. Should I consider 16gb then? I remember hearing from somewhere that 8 could do...
Also, I don't intend to OC the chip too much; perhaps some in the future. I just hate Intels stock coolers so I wanted a decent am one.

8GB is enough, but some applications (After Effects in particular) consume a lot of RAM when working. I run 12GB and when working in After Effects its not hard to run out.

Or downgrade the mobo, because you admit you dont want to overclock that hard and its complete overkill. Its not like there is only one red motherboard in existence.

Hm. I like the look of that board, but with all the other parts of my build provided, is it a good pick/quality mobo?

Its not a bad choice is pretty much all I can say. Its not like its going to perform better or worse, its a motherboard.
