Hi, there is a black friday deal on a local shop (Worten in Portugal) for a Desktop that is 400€ off (was 13.999€, now 999€)
I would like to know if this deal is good for its price.

I posted the specs on the website, i know they aren't very specific but since it's a pre-built HP Omen, there should be better info online.

thanks in advance.

I like the build that Oussebon suggests, although I would go with an i7-8700 over the i5-8400 (and personally I would go with the i7-8700K if it's not too much more money) as they are around 15-20% faster than the i5-8400 and don't...

Seem's like a good deal for me, but I always suggest try to buy your own parts then assemble it but surely you wouldn't risk breaking any of the stuff try to ask a tech near you or better a friend to assemble it for you if you don't have any experience working with a computer. This way you can adjust different parts of your desktop since you can always find cheaper for example HDD/SDD you can find cheaper brand of a GPU. This way is more practical for me but it will surely need your effort assembling it.

try pcpartpicker for PC parts you can see great deals from there.

While pcpartpicker is a great tool (it's my best friend around Black Friday/Cyber Monday with the three builds that I'm working on at the moment), and has many international markets, Portugal is not among them.

In some markets and some situations a self (even assisted) build is not viable, sad but true. I'm just thankful that ibuypower and cyberpower are not available there. :)

Thanks for the suggestions, my problem is that I was thinking of buying a build from PC specialist (https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?61069-Help-on-PC-Build&p=425892#post425892) but the 400€ discount is pretty big and I'm still not completely sold on the motherboard and rams on the Omen. I do know my way around computers I just don't have a lot of free time so a pre-built pc is great if the assembly costs are not too significant, otherwise I would rather just build it myself.

I like the build that Oussebon suggests, although I would go with an i7-8700 over the i5-8400 (and personally I would go with the i7-8700K if it's not too much more money) as they are around 15-20% faster than the i5-8400 and don't require a more expensive Z390 motherboard that an i5-9600K or i7-9700K would.

HERE is a quick tool to compare CPUs that can help look at the feature and expected speed differences for different CPUs.

That price difference is big though. Since you are looking at buying in the UK you should look at THIS SITE for a bunch of comparative builds, hopefully not adding to your confusion. :)
