Black gap around my BenQ monitor

Hi,
I built my girlfriend a pc yesterday and it all works fine apart from the fact that when I switch it on, my display has thick borders around it.
The monitor is a BenQ 24inch EW2440L. The gpu is a gtx650. The drivers have been installed but still nothing. Any ideas?

Try changing the display resolution in the Display settings manually.

Did you set the resolution at 1920 x 1080?
Is the refresh rate = native monitor refresh rate for 1080p (assuming 60hz)
Also review nVidia driver settings for monitor scaling.

Select no scaling.

It's already set on 1920x1080 in the windows screen resolution settings

Unfortunately I'm at school and gyazo is blocked, so I'm gonna have to leave it to someone else. Did you try @cilliers suggestion?

After a long time of searching, it turns out it was because the Nvidia drivers weren't installed properly. I reinstalled it and it worked. Thanks for the answers.
