Black hawk down wont update

Hello, I have original BHD for PC . Had problem with computer and had to reload game and that went fine. But now when I want to play on line it tells me to update. Game wouldn't update so I downloaded it from novalogic now it won't load the update. I get "LOCALRES.PFF" missing and abort.
Whats can I do?

the error means the game hasnt properly installed in the first place. make sure you run the game installer as administrator and try again with the update after the install finished.
