Black ops 3 PC fps problems

I'm getting really bad fps all of a sudden (10-20). It just started happening 3 days ago. I have a gtx 660 and I was playing at high settings, 1080p, 50-60 fps. All the tutorials for the fix tell me to change something in the config file but they're all from November and the config file has been updated since then. Thanks.

Hey,

Whilst playing can you open some monitoring software and see what your GPU temperature, GPU core clock, CPU temperature and CPU clock is.
If you don't have any monitoring software already, you can download MSI Afterburner: https://gaming.msi.com/features/afterburner

Also, were any changes made to your system just before this happened, and make sure you have the latest Nvidia drivers as the last ones were very unstable, causing an array of issues.

I have the latest drivers. the results are that my GPU usage was at 99% :/

What are you GPU Core Clocks during the game, and I would make sure that you haven't turned up resolution scaling or something.

The resolution scaling has been at 80% since I bought the game and I don't know how to check my core clocks

In msi afterburner, there is a list of graphs on the right side. One if them is a GPU Core Clock one, if you play for a while, then screenshot the graph and upload it.

324 MHz for the core clock all the way through. ( The max was1032 ) but only for a bit.

that is the issue, your GPU is not boosting correctly and is running at idle clocks.
Right click your desktop and go into Nvidia Control Panel, from there manage 3D Settings, go to Global settings and where is says Power Management Mode, select Prefer Maximum Performance.
Keep an eye on your GPU Temperature when you do this.
