If you like a certain design then get that, most Z170 ATX motherboards are 7 expansion arrangement because skylake CPU only drive 16 PCIe lane (makes single x16 or dual x8), so my opinions shouldn't hold you back for getting your "love at 1st sight"
I'm not aware if Asrock, EVGA, Gigabyte, Supermicro and ECS has proprietary RGB software, however you can do RGB with controllers (usually on case) such as
