So I recently updated to windows 10 and like many others I encountered the black screen. Mine was because of a mouse. So when I restart with the mouse plugged in, I get the black screen (no cursor, no login screen, just "Lenovo" and then black), but I can restart with the mouse unplugged, login, and then plug in the mouse and use it fine.

I've been told this is a driver issue, so I tried to update the mouse's drivers, but windows says they are up to date. I also heard that rolling back the drivers for display adapters helps, but I have two, a graphics card and the processor. So I really don't want to roll back the graphics card or many games will run worse.

Do I just have to unplug/replug my mouse in every time if I want to still be able to play games? or is there another solution I am missing?

Could you please pass on your systems specs? Alongside your model of your laptop or a Lenovo desktop. Does the issue persist when you plug in any other USB device(during your boot process as the one seen with mouse and later in OS)? If it does then there is a USB driver conflict.

There may be a BIOS update that you'll need to go through to resolve this issue but that will be revealed while scoping out your system specs.
