Black Screen after driver update

I began to update my computers sound and video drivers through GeForce Experience, but after it finished downloading the screen has gone black and hasn't changed back.

It's been about 40 minutes now. The computer is still running and the monitor seems to be in standby mode.

I'm not sure whether I should restart the system or not.

Any suggestions?

Yes I think you should turn your computer off. If the HDD light is still flashing, I'd leave it as it might be doing something.

Load your OS in Safemode and uninstall the drivers. Use "Driver Identifier" tool (download it) to find your correct drivers.

shut down your system and try to restart it to see whether any display on it...Do a system restore to the previous point where it worked good in safe mode! Do it with any external monitor if you have.. because you unable to see anything on your monitor know?...
