Black Screen after installing Graphics Card

Hi everyone,
I just purchased a GTX650 Ti Boost graphics card to replace my old Nvidia GeForce 9800GT graphics card. After placing the new graphics card in the computer, before windows boots, a black screen with a blinking underscore symbol flashes non stop.

The only way to access my windows is to hit the F8 function and go in that way. While in there I created a backup recovery disc just in case something was to go wrong.

Please, I need all the help, ideas, and explanations I can get to fix this issue. Going in with F8 is causing severe lag and making the computer move very, very slow in general.

Here are my specs:
-AMD Phenom II X4 820 Processor.
-450 watt power block.
-32 GB installed RAM
-M5A97 EVO Motherboard.

Also, is it possible that unhooking things from the motherboard and replacing them while installing the graphics card cause a problem? The computer was off of course.

have you already plug your display on your GTX650??... i think so

whats the model of your 450W PSU??? if its generic that could be your issue...

gtx 650 ti boost 110W
your CPU 95W if not OCed
at very last you need a PSU with 24A on the 12V rail.. does it has it??

Also make sure your mb bios is updated.

I would suggest that you should go through F8 into Safe Mode (only used to repair diagnosis a computer NOT for using the computer normally), remove the Video drivers, and use Drive Sweeper to really remove all traces. Reboot. Can you now get into Windows in VGA mode (make sure your monitor can support low resolutions)? If so download and install the newest drivers 320.49 from NVidia I believe it is.
