I just updated my windows 10. When i came back the screen was black and their was only the courser. I tired to get into the task manger but it wont come up. Furthermore, when i log in my asus gpu tweak comes up and shows that the gpu is working. Im not sure what t try now. Is their a problem with windows, my hard drive or my gpu.
Thank you for your help.

Does it log you into your normal user? So this is after you login as Blank screen/cursor before you login normally doesn't get you into windows, so would be hard to get into gpu tweak

is it just as slow after a restart? Does it hang if you try to restart? Sometimes the problem can be a device attached to PC is causing windows to lag out as its not responding in time, so try unplugging all USB?Speakers and see if it helps

see if it behaves in safe mode
on the screen you login from, click the power button
before clicking anything else, hold shift key down and click restart
this loads advanced startup
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up options
hit the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using...

choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
PC will restart and load safe mode

safe mode will at least tell us if its software or hardware, if its the same its likely to be hardware. If windows works fine, it could be a driver

Solution
You don't have to panic, i had that black screen before but after a while another windows update came up and fixed it, now my computer is OK.
