Black screen after new ram installed?

Now, I am aware that the mhz on the ram is much faster than my Mobo, but I was told that the speed would downgrade to whatever my mobo can handle.

After I installed my new ram, screen is black but pc still running. My old ram still works fine

I have tried:

-Updating the bios to the latest version
-Clearing CMOS
-Putting one module at a time, tried different slots too

Did not touch anything in the BIOS though, as of settings and whatnot.

return it and get xms3 ram

Yeah I have no choice really but to return it. Spent the whole day yesterday trying to figure it out. Will the XMS3 defo work?

XMS3 usually works well with that chipset though Corsair's website doesnt specifically mention support for your motherbd.

Crucial's does though
