Question Black screen after replacing LCD cable

Jul 14, 2020
So my screen is having a “no backlight” problem with the old LCD cable. I can see graphics on screen when I shine a flashlight on it. I’m able to fix it by twisting the cable a bit in a specific part. This led me to believe that the cable is broken somewhere.
I just replaced the old cable with a new one today and now the screen is completely black. I can’t even see graphics with flashlight.
But when I plug the laptop to an external monitor, it shows up, no problem at all.
What could be wrong in this case? The only thing I could think of is I twisted the new cable too hard in some part in order to get it in position and therefore ruining the cable again. I would really appreciate if someone could help me. Thanks!
My laptop model:
