[SOLVED] Black screen after reset

I was recently trying to fix the problem with my internal speakers in my display not producing any sound and came across a diagnostic write-up from Asus that eventually had my reset my monitor in the on-screen settings. Once I reset the monitor I no longer get anything to display. I am running a dual monitor, so every time I turn off my 4K monitor the other display displays my Windows home screen perfectly fine, but when I turn it on both screens go black. Also, most of the time it even fails to display the on-screen settings menu and remain black while other times it only opens up to change my input.

Problem monitor: Asus 28" 4K PB287Q
Working monitor: Asus 24" 1080p VS247H-P

Any ideas for a solution? Thank you!

Solution: monitor somehow set itself from DisplayPort 1.2 to 1.1. Switched and is working now.
