Question Black screen after setting it at 144Hz

Hi,
I have an Acer Predator XB241 and a RTX 2070. I'm using an HDMI to connect them. When I go on settings to change the Hz I can't see an option for more than 60. When I try to change them from the NVIDIA control panel (as a curstom setting) I get a black screen as soon as I input something greater than 60. Running windows 10.
Let me know if you need any other information, thanks in advance.

I literally made a post about the exact same issue earlier today. My solution ended up being replacing my DisplayPort Cable. Updating drivers and rolling back drivers did nothing.

If you have multiple HDMI cords, try a different one. If your cord turns out to be Ok. The usual driver removal/re-installation would be my next option.

Well HDMi would do an display but it is best to use the displayport since they are built for it.

It could be that your settings is incorrect for taking it too 144hz...or it could be that the intel graphical drivers are installed and causing issues regarding display hz or resolution.

If you a high intense gamer who likes FPS games dont go HDMi
