Recently whenever the display timer turns off my monitor, it will not re-display anything upon keyboard or mouse press. Just black screen.
I dont ever sleep or hybernate the o/s, only 'turn off the monitor' after few hours. PC is usually running 24/7.
It was taking multiple power shutdowns and reboots to get it to display anything. I know the o/s is booting bc I hear the normal start up audible sounds.
I have updated display drivers, swapped monitors, used a different PCI slot and changed the GPU with an old card but the same thing happens.
When I have "Turn Off Display" set to "Never" it will run fine for days. I just turn the display on/off by the power button.
Foolishly, after a week I tried to see it it was still doing it and of course it is.
This time after like eight reboots I just pulled the card and snapped it right back in.
Immediate display start up.
Going to run Memtest86 but wanted to post here first bc I am just annoyed.
