Black Screen after Windows loads after I installed my graphics card

I am borrowing a graphics card from a friend. I plugged it in my mobo after using intel graphics for a while. The computer booted up and showed the mobo logo and then showed the windows loading. After that, it is a black screen. I have been looking for an answer but have not found any.
The graphics card I am using is an AMD radeon 6570. I know it is old and has no power plug.
My motherboard is the msi g45 gaming edition.
I think it might be partly that the graphics is really old, drivers, or I have to change something in the bios, or I dont know.

The card is not too old. The 4000 series is no longer covered, anything newer is fine. Anyway, does your system still work with the Intel Graphics? If you are seeing the Windows logo, the card is working, you are getting output. If you can't get anywhere with the system try starting in Safe Mode. ( press F8 while starting ) If you get into safe mode, try using system restore to go back to before you started having problems. You can also try using the Windows DVD and use the repair option instead of install option and it will replace all you 'system' files without messing with all you personal stuff. If you get back into Windows then uninstall all graphics drivers for now. Windows will install a default driver that will work fine for basic desktop 2D graphics. Once you have the system working fine, then install the newest AMD driver.

Alright, I did not try this with that card since I was not going to use it. I just got my nvidia gtx 780 and I am having the same problem. I will try what you said with the starting up in safe mode. I do get to the windows loading screen then it goes black.

Since you are using a desk top what you should is first start your comp is safe mode then uninstall All your amd drivers then shutdown remove your card connect your monitor through your integrated mobo graphics (VGA Port) next try to boot up into windows and download ccleaner and driver fusion and run them to flush out all remaining bugs once Thats done uninstall your integrated graphics and diasable them through device manager then reboot and enter you bios make sure that your graphics are going to displayed through PCI express then save changes and shutdown reinstall the card connect and connect through and startup and reinstall and drivers hopefully that works cause that is exactly what happened to me when I was trying to run 2×7870 in crossfire

Ok so I got this working. I uninstalled them way before I got this card. But what I did was change a setting to boot in safe mode then turned off my computer. I then plugged my gtx 780 in and then went to the device manager and told it to download the drivers for it since everything booted up properly from my graphics card in safe mode. I then booted back up with my graphics card in normal mode and it then worked properly. But you all helped me a lot. I always wish I could chose more than one best answer.
