Question Black Screen during Games, PC unresponsive

Hi all. Lately I've been having consistent issues with my monitors going black in the middle of a video game. This has been happening for a couple months now, and the PC is about a year old. I'll be playing World of Warcraft or Valheim (the only games I play) and my monitors will suddenly go black. I can still hear sound, but when a soundtrack ends a new one doesn't continue and the sound cuts off completely after a minute or so. When the screens go black, the PC doesn't respond to any commands but all the lights are still on and the fans are still spinning.

I've reinstalled the drivers, made sure they were updated, reset and updated my BIOS, reseated the CPU cooler and the GPU, reconnected my HDMI cables (yes they are plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard), performed a clean boot, lowered my graphics settings, enabled VSYNC in both games, cleaned out the dust from all the fans and crevices in the PC, and more that I'm sure I'm forgetting. I took it to a repair guy who performed a diagnostic test on it for 4 hours after working on it, and the PC ran just fine. I don't understand why the crashing issue persists when I'm back at home. My repair guy said it could be a faulty motherboard or the CPU.

Do you guys have any thoughts, similar experiences, or advice?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Please stick to one thread, please. Multiple threads in multiple sections will only create spaghetti brains.

Hi, thank you.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core
CPU Cooler: DeepCool AK620
Motherboard: ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi)
Ram: 32 GB total
SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 2280 1TB
GPU: GIGABYTE NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

The same issue happened with my last PSU, which was a Corsair RMx Series 850 W but it had stopped working.
