Black screen during POST, though windows starts and runs fine (can't access BIOS)

After replacing the graphics card in my old Acer Aspire 6920, the computer never shows the POST screen. It will start up, the screen wont light up, then after I hit the Enter button or wait a couple of minutes, it starts Windows 7 and everything runs fine.
This is a problem for me because I want to access my BIOS, and the black screen prevents me from seeing it.
