Question Black screen(hdmi/displayport not detected) on brand first build

Hey everyone, I need help.
So I just built my first pc from scratch and I watched countless videos on how to put all the pieces together. Everything seemed to be going smoothly and when I booted it up (without monitor plugged in) the fans started spinning and the rgb on the case and ram sticks lit up. Here’s the problem. When I plug it into my monitor, nothing. No POST screen, no bios. Black screen. No hdmi nor display port detected. My motherboard did not come with a post speaker and I’ve ordered one but it’s only coming in 2 days. In the mean time I hope someone can give me some advice.

Gigabyte Rtx 2070 super
Gigabyte x570 aorus elite mobo
Corsair rm750x psu
G.skill trident z neo 3600mhz rgb ram
Nzxt H100 elite case
Crucial P1 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD

Have to ask, the monitor is plugged into the gpu and not the motherboard?

I tried display port and hdmi on gpu. The cpu doesnt have integrated graphics
