ASUS K53E was working fine, decided to upgrade the ram. Bought 2x m471b5173qh0-yk0 sticks for the job.
Replaced the RAM and now the screen wont turn on. I did all the CMOS stuff. drained it, replaced it, even removed it to force the bios screen, but no avail.
The screen stays black no matter what combination of RAM/slots I use. The old RAM that was working yesterday no longer works. I just replaced the LCD today so I highly doubt that is the problem (it was not working before or after I replaced the LCD)
The only thing left that I can think of is that somehow the motherboard died when I replaced the RAM. I can think of nothing else. I would appreciate thoughts before I buy a new motherboard.
