black screen no fan at boot up

can some one help me please ,my son has vista hp pavilion dv6000 has black screen no noises and fan turn on

Does your AC adapter show that you are getting power with an LED, also is the plug into the computer loose so the cable wiggles excessively when plugged in? Try pulling out the battery and powering it up with that out

new ac adapter and led come on for a split second also looks like is charging ,,then I try to take battery out and power up with adapter same thnig
