Black Screen On and Off

Hello guys! Recently my computer is going crazy, basically whenever i turn on a game, my games will automatically run in fullscreen, whenever i alt+tab it takes really long to tab to desktop, so i normally change my game to borderless windowed. This also happens when i do stuff a bit more intensive let’s say i watch a video it happens as well, but much much less when i game

Heres the problem, whenever i do that, my screen turns black (which normally doesnt happen) and when i alt+tab it turns black for really long like as if i was using fullscreen mode. When i tab back into the game (sometimes fast sometimes not) then this happens

situation 1 : if stayed in borderless windowed mode or any mode during gaming, my screen keeps going black for awhile like as if i tabbed out whenever there is a movement change in the display, etc. moving from main menu to settings or ocassionally when i move my cursor. it just keeps repeating until i turn the game off

before this, my computer never had this issue, recent changes made to my computer,
- got myself a new 144hz monitor (tested with laptop, no issues)
- got a new SSD, only have windows installed there, games are installed on HDD.

PC build
intel i5-6600
rx480 8gb
2x 4gb corsair ram
corsair vs650
1 ssd 120gb
2 hdd 1tb each

solutions i attempted:

1. updated all drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling them
2. disabled my hdd incase my psu isnt giving out enough power
3. reinstalling my games
4. replugged my gpu from mobo
5. replugged hdmi cable
6. kept windows updated

UPDATE: It's getting worse now, whenever i tab out, and i tab back, i can see my game for 2-3 seconds then it suddenly goes black, i cant even hear the game or anything

https://imgur.com/a/VU9sSQx my motherboard seem to have super high temp on certain pin

I tought the RX would require more power, but which motherboard do you have?
Its unusual that motherboard could do that slow issue, unless VRM's are overheating but that rarley cause you cannot overclock your CPU.
Restart your PC, go to bios, last tab, select load optimal default, select yes and it should be default.
Just set your SSD as primary or where did you install the windows.

Now as part of question, what did you do/use for uninstalling GPU drivers? Have you used DDU?

all my components in my PC are running on normal temperatures, used speccy and hwmonitor to analyse,
when i try to enter BIOS, through windows my pc will just shutdown and restart back to normal (not showing the bios part) tried pressing the f2 and del button as well :c

as for reinstalling i used device manager and uninstall my rx480 driver there. i have not used DDU but i will try it now

Turn the PSU off, unplug it from wall, remove shiny battery from motherboard, switch the PSU on, press and hold power button for 30s~ to reset bios to factory, plug back the shiny battery, plug the PSU into power socket, switch the PSU on and see if it still happens.
To note; Usually software monitors arent accurate most of times.

As part of DDU, download it from here -> http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Go to safe mode "Shift+Restart" method if windows 10 -> https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-10
Windows 7 force restart your PC and select safe mode and do the DDU clean+restart.

Now after doing DDU, download latest drivers from site, and install them, dont use automatic.

If it still happens do the DDU again, go to device manager, right click on update the drivers for GPU it should say microsoft basic display or similar, select browse, then browse again and select folder where is the AMD unpacked drivers, after you selected tick "Include subfolders" and press next and let it install.

Which resolution is monitor and which cable do you use to connect it to the GPU?
Usually some monitors for instance mine when goes black it takes a bit to response (turning on and off the display) which is per usual normal.

On which games does that happen, and what about other games?

UPDATE: Weird, it should display something, plug the monitor into motherboard and see what happens.

Try this and report back ; Turn the PSU off, unplug it from wall, remove shiny battery from motherboard, switch the PSU on, press and hold power button for 30s~ to reset bios to factory, plug back the shiny battery, plug the PSU into power socket, switch the PSU on and see if it still happens.

Boot up windows and see if some drivers load, , re-plug your GPU and see if it gives signal.If they do dont do this what i typed;

The issue is that you cannot install drivers when no GPU is installed, go to control panel, then ALL control panel items, then to system, it should pop up window, now select advanced system settings, go to advanced then to hardware and select device installation settings, select yes/automatic. https://www.tenforums.com/attachments/tutorials/36623d1441401216-choose-default-operating-system-run-startup-windows-10-a-change_default_os_system-1.png (example where the window should be).

In same tab if the GPU again isnt recognized go to system protection then system restore, and pick choose different restore point, pick one before doing DDU like 2-3h ago.
I had issues with DDU like unable to install drivers.

Now just uninstall like normal graphic drivers from control panel, after that reinstall them, if prompted restart your PC.

Now you should try to pop GPU and see if it gives signal.

no restore points have been created on my computer’s system drive. etc etc

what should i do? i tried reconnecting back my GPU but the display disappears again, only way i enter windows is plugging out my GPU and plugging in my motherboard. what should i do next?

also is it weird that under device manager it doesnt show any integrated graphics from my CPU? it says microsoft display adapter.

should i just reset my windows?

yes i tried using cable and plugged in and out multiple times. no luck, whenever gpu is plugged in, just a black display for me.

it was already in a bad condition so you didnt do any harm to it, if anything i should thank you for your effort for helping me

hello, it suddenly works now but just takes a really long time to tab in and out 🙁

even when i adjust volume using my keyboard FN+F3

i dont mind the tabbing in and out now (although i do prefer if i could do it) but now whenever i adjust volume or anything (basically outside the game) it will tab me out which is frustrating

few days ago i updated windows and it actually worked perfectly where i could tab in and out smoothly no blackscreen whatsoever but suddenly it’s all back to no tabbing again.

games i play, tested them all, same result
pubg
dota
csgo
ghost recon wildlands
dead by daylight
