[SOLVED] Black screen on laptop need help

My laptop`s screen (Acer Nitro 5 2019) went black when I opened a game in battery mode. I turn it off and back on but the screen is still black, but if I put a light near the display I can see the dim screen. The laptop works fine but the display is black/very dim. Please help

Check and see which BIOS version your laptop is on and if you have any updates pending. Also, try uninstalling and reinstalling your GPU drivers. Use DDU to remove your GPU drivers and reinstall with the latest found off manufacturer's support site. Install in an elevated command, i.e Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

That symptom can also mean the screen's backlight has died, but follow advice from Lutfij first as it may not be the backlight that's the problem.
