Question Black screen on start up

my pc starts up fine.

but i am getting no display, a black screen, no beeps, fans working, peripheral lights all fine.

i am using the monitor i have used for years, it has an in built pc which i am using now, so i know the screen has no issue.

when i have my pc connected and i switch source, the screen will display my windows login area for literally half a second, so the pc is booting up fine.

i have replaced the HDMI and tried with a brand new one, as stated, i can briefly get a glimpse of the login so at a loss for what might be wrong.

i do not have alternative monitors to try it with. i do not have any reason to expect any hardware issue, and that is about all i can tell you.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model.

If your system is a prebuilt, please mention the make and model of the unit + it's SKU. Include it's age as well.
